Prerequisites

Before editing a deal, ensure the following requirements are met:

  1. You are logged into the Deal Portal.
    See Logging into the Deal Portal
  2. You have created a deal.
    See Creating a Deal

Accessing the Edit Deal Page

To access the Edit Deal page, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Deal Dashboard page and select the deal you wish to edit in the Deal Table.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the Actions column to open the Edit Deal page.

Overview

The Edit Deal page allows you to edit existing deals for an ad campaign. However, the DSP and Deal ID fields are not editable on the Edit Deal page. You can modify other fields, such as the Deal Name, Description, Pricing, and Reporting Labels.

Workflow for Editing Deal

In the Edit Deal Page, you can review and edit the following fields in Deal Settings, Price Settings, and Deal Reporting Labels.

Deal Settings

To review and edit the fields in the Deal Settings section, follow these steps:

  1. Deal Name:
  • Update the name of the deal if needed.
  1. Description:
  • Add or modify the description to provide context or details about the campaign.
  1. Verve Marketplace Deal ID:
  • Review the system-generated Deal ID (non-editable).
  1. Advertiser & DSP:
  • Confirm the assigned advertiser and edit the field accordingly. The DSP field cannot be modified after the deal is saved.
  1. Seat:
  • Review and modify the seat details under the DSP assigned for the deal.
  1. Time Zone:
  • Select or modify the time zone for scheduling the campaign.
  1. Start and End Dates:
  • Set or modify the campaign’s duration by adjusting these dates as needed.

Price Settings

To review and edit the fields in the Price Setting section, follow these steps:

  1. Pricing Model:
  • Choose the desired pricing model for the campaign.
  1. eCPM:
  • Update the effective cost per mille (CPM) to match your budget or pricing strategy.
  1. Deal Fee:
  • Specify any additional deal fees, if applicable, by entering a percentage value.

Deal Reporting Labels

To review and edit the fields in the Deal Reporting Labels section, follow these steps:

  1. Sales Person:
  • Review and select the relevant Sales Person name from the Sales Person dropdown menu.
  1. Trafficker:
  • Review and select the relevant Trafficker for the campaign from the Trafficker dropdown menu.

Before saving, review all the changes you have made to ensure they align with your deal requirements.

Save and Continue

  • Click Save and Continue to save your changes.
  • You will be redirected to the Targeting section, or exit if no further adjustments are required. For information on the Targeting section, see the Setting Deal Targeting section.
